In September 2000, Russell was faced with the ultimate florist's challenge - what flowers and designs to use for his own wedding.

After many hours of discussion with his staff, family and wife-to-be, Russell decided the whole event should be a surprise from the wedding breakfast to the bridal bouquet itself.

Ramster Hall, the venue for the wedding, demanded a soft, almost fantastical theme. A combination of organza fabrics, scented candles, wrought iron candelabra's and candlesticks coupled with fresh fruits and an abundance of country style flowers and Foliage created this romantic atmosphere perfectly.

The Long Hall hosted the wedding breakfast. A mixture of high and low arrangements were used on the tables to give the Hall height and depth. Fresh strawberries and roses on each napkin completed the attention to detail.
The bridal bouquet was a wired shower bouquet filled with lily of the valley, roses, phalanopsis orchids, honeysuckle, and many garden flowers from the mother of-the bride's garden. The candlelit ceremony was held in the drawing room and the numerous candelabras filled the room, complimenting the antiques and furnishings that were already there.
The entrance to was accentuated by two ten foot urn arrangements filled with an array of many brightly coloured flowers including hydrangers, stocks and roses.
